Acting Sargent at Arms Tricia collected Happy Dollars from: Ted, Sherry-(she has three bags of coats collected from the Hardwick Kiwanis for our Coat Drive), Gary, Sharon, Becky, Deanna and Marcia

Sad Dollar: Tim offered one for Thomas Paine’s untimely passing. His Dad Brent was a Morrisville Rotarian.

Sympathy card for the Paine family to be signed next week.

Fine: by Tim against Ted due to Ted not acknowledging Tim last week in the Stonegrill Restaurant. Ted lost the fine and spun ‘Zero’ on the wheel. Mark against Tim for the poor condition of the flag. Mark lost the vote, spun the wheel and paid $1.00 fine.

Sherry announced that the Green Mt. Tech Center is hosting an AARP Driver Safety Program soon. In November, any veteran taking the classroom course will not be charged the usual fee.  Contact Sherry at slussier@gmtcc.net or sherryluss@yahoo.com for the course date and time.  Ted spoke that  upon completion participants can save $7.00 on their auto insurance cost. Sherry also shared the GMTCC Fall 2011 workshop catalog

Tim presented the new Rotary t-shirts!  They are dark blue with Morrisville and the Rotary emblem on the front and ‘Rotarian at work’ on the back side.  Please pick up your shirt and wear it proudly at the Coat Drive!

Coat Drive: Marcia announced that DeNoia’s may have taken in 500 coats to date.  Infant to extra large adults sizes are welcomed until November 2^nd at DeNoia’s closing time.

Dictionary Project: They have arrived at Marcia’s office.  500 book plates are coming from News & Citizen at $80.85.   Call Marcia to volunteer to call the schools and schedule the presentations. (888-3418)

Speaker: Tim was expecting the Morrisville Playground Project to present for consideration in the 2012 Polar Splash partnership with a local non profit organization.

Deanna has spoken with Highland Compost in Hardwick about the Polar Splash.

Strategic Planning: Tim led the group in discussing: Membership- ideas for growing, how many

members do we want to have in 5 or 10 years from now?   In 10 years: 40 active members

Mary will share with the membership the updated booklet with an ‘invite a new member’ letter by email.

Deanna spoke that our Social Events such as the Holiday Party that used to have a larger auction-income and entertainment drew in more community involvement.  How do we want to proceed now?

Meet elsewhere on a regular basis: Copley Hospital?  Peoples Academy cafeteria?

Leadership: Jason is running for 2012 President; Cindy Locke: 2012 Vice President; 2^nd Vice President??

Raffle: Dr. Phil had the ticket and did not pull the winning card.
