Guest Speaker; Nella Wennberg is a Physician Assistant with Mansfield Orthopedics. Three weeks after the Haiti Earthquake, she accompanied a medical team from the Fletcher Allen Medical Center to a medical facility on the Haiti/Dominican Republic border for two weeks of 12 hour days in the operating room in 95 degree weather. She met incredible folks from Haiti as well as from around the world who had come to help.

Thru a DVD, Nella shared a view of the people and conditions that they shared with the Haitians. Power was apt to be undependable so they used head lamps in the five operating rooms. 25 translators helped them do their medical rounds in three hour sessions. Sue Lucas a Copley Hospital Intensive Care nurse is in Haiti now.
Nella does hope to return and continue the medical care needed in Haiti.

The 50/50 ticket was drawn. Tim had the raffle ticket but did not draw the 4 of diamonds.

Breakfast menu:  Jim spoke that though we are being charged $6.95 for pastries, coffee and juice, please wait another week or so before any changes. The restaurant staff has not been aware for very long of our change of meeting time. Kevin, the new restaurant manager just started yesterday.

Susan shared thank you notes received from Copley Health Systems and Morrisville Recreation Council for our recent contributions.

We are invited to a May 4th 7:30 to 8:45 AM Montpelier Breakfast to honor 3 women leaders with the Vermont Girl Scouts. Susan has the details.  They hope that we can be represented at this celebration.

Duck Race: Discussion by members of having the 2010 drawing at the Morrisville 4th of July, during the July Lamoille County Field Days, or the August Lamoille Corridor Celebration AND of changing the name. Consensus: Gary to speak with Morrisville Fire Dept. about a pool and holding our drawing as folks gather for the Fire Works Display. Going back to the Field Days entails 3 days of coverage plus 20% of the proceeds to the Field Days.  Only $2,500 was netted last year at the Field Days.  Consider asking the non-profits that we have helped with the Polar Plunge OR who hope to partner with us in the future, will help sell Duck Tickets.

James Gregg Library Fund: Ted is asking for feedback to disperse this account.

1. Either hold a drawing of all the public libraries in our service area with the winner to receive the total amount OR 2. Divide the total between all the libraries between Greensboro and Johnson.

We are charged $25.00 for the use of the Stonegrill Conference Room.  The restaurant is expecting at least 15 attendees each week who purchase breakfast at $7.00 total charge.
