June 8, 2009 Meeting Minutes

9. Peter – happy to turn over Sargent of Arms to Tim.

Mail:
1. LUHS award ceremony is on Thursday
- Our scholarship will be awarded then.
2. Sunday is Cambridge district changeover – we are all invited (Brunch – 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.)
3. Duck Race drawing will occur at the Field Days.
- Looking to get more people involved.
- Tickets will likely be produced this week
- Gary is looking into a little pool to use at the Field Days.
4. 4th of July
- Heidi Krantz is looking for those to help with Sunday clean-up after the party.
5. Books for cooks
- Final meeting is this week… please attend if interested
6. Saturday/Sunday picnic will occur at the Marble residence.
- 1st weekend in August might be a possibility
7. Two exchange students are coming to our meeting in two weeks
- Karen will not be speaking on the 22nd – note to James.
8. June 29th is our official changeover
- At Copley Country Club
- Eat at 6:00 p.m.
- Paul Harris award will be given to Jeff.
- $15.00 per person
- That will count as our meeting for that day.
- Options: Chicken Marsala, Salmon Fillet, NY Steak, potato, vegetables, small salad, rolls, desert.
9. Polio plus discussion
- District president is looking for support – make a donation to the Polio Matching Grant Campaign.
10. T-tall – there will be a discussion at the Cambridge changeover
11. Cancer-walk is June 20, 2009
- Please go check it out.
- Should luminaries be bought for people that were former Rotarians?
* $5.00 a bag
* The club will purchase 10 bags ($50.00) – the club passed this motion
